Other Technologies

SMS Messaging Integration

SMS (Short or Simple Message Service) allows text messages of up to 160 characters to be sent and received via the network operator's message centre to a mobile phone/PDA. It is a popular method of wireless communication from any mobile phone.

Neogic has produced many applications that utilise SMS technology in ways to provide scalability to web sites and web applications. Many of our products offer SMS interaction whereby users that receive a text on their mobile phone/PDA can reply. This response from the user is not only recorded by the database, but can invoke an automated response or action.

GPS Technology

GPS (Global Positioning System) provides specially coded satellite signals that can be processed in a GPS receiver, enabling the receiver to compute position, velocity and time. We are looking to incorporate this technology into SafetyNet and TravelNet to allow real-time automated personnel tracking around the globe.
